Job description
Civitanavi Systems is a principal player in the provision of the design, development and manufacture of high-tech solutions of Inertial Navigation, Geo Reference and Stabilization systems.
As System Safety, Reliability and Maintainability Engineer:
  • You will ensure that the INS products are developed, designed, produced and supported according to state-of-art and applicable safety standards associated with airworthiness regulations.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing candidate designs products developed in terms of verification and satisfaction of reliability and maintainability objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Organize, perform activities and produce documentation for the "Safety Assessment" of inertial systems for civil and military aircraft according to ARP4761 (FHA, PSSA, SSA, Fault Trees, Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments) and to MIL-STD-882E
  • Support the system design team to ensure compliance with safety objectives
  • Specify and support the validation and verification activities of system requirements, according to ARP4754A
  • Perform and manage the Safety Assessment on safety-related derived requirements defined during the development life cycle
  • Be the responsible point-of-contact for the coordination and management of safety activities with external suppliers, including document review and acceptance
  • Generate, manage and verify Reliability documentation (FMES, FMEA, FMECA)
  • Generate, manage and verify Maintainability documentation
Qualifications and Skills
Required Skills
  • University degree in Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of Safety Engineering concepts and risk analysis methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of Systems Engineering/V Model in Aviation or other complex product development industry processes
  • Interest in international aerospace regulations and standards (e.g. ICAO, EASA, FAA)
  • Good analytical skills and predisposition to solve complex problems
  • Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn new technical skills.
  • Basic Knowledge on reliability software packages
  • Ability to adopt the proper communication attitude to be effective depending on the audience and context
  • Good knowledge of English
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (preferred IBM Rational DOORS)
  • Study or internship experience in the safety or aerospace field
  • Knowledge of Inertial Navigation Systems
