As a Proposal Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimation process and playing a crucial role in determining project costs and pricing strategies. This position ensures the accuracy and competitiveness of project bids, supporting the organization's growth and profitability. In this role, you will impact the overall success of project bids by ensuring that cost estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with customer expectations, ultimately contributing to the growth and profitability of Honeywell Aerospace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• 6+ years of experience in estimating.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Form proposal team based on core pursuit team
- Generate and manage opportunity folder in pursuit cabinet within Documentum
- Update Sales Force Opportunity Proposal with appropriate information
- Coordinate and complete proposal planning with assistance from Opportunity Owner, Technical Sales, PM and SMEs
- Development of a Proposal & Estimating Directive (P&ED)
- Review Customer requirements
- Develop proposal strategy
- Identify, assign, and communicate team roles and responsibilities for generating both the estimate and written documentation
- Generate top-level volume outlines
- Manage and lead proposal development process
- Lead proposal kick-off meeting
- Ensure proposal articulates offering defined by Business Strategy (Capture Plan)
- Ensure proposal is compliant to customer requirements
- Implement a defined, consistent, repeatable proposal process
- Create, manage, and maintain proposal schedule
- Conduct team tag-up meetings; capture and manage RAIL items
- Facilitate, coordinate, and conduct proposal color reviews
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Coordinate proposal production and delivery
- Drive process improvements through the capture of Lessons Learned (internal and external)
- Capture and report metrics
- Management of WIP by CBT
- Weekly WIP Reports
- Tier Escalation
