Job description
Our Manufacturing team is looking for a Testing Technician to join the company in the Headquarters located in Porto Sant’ Elpidio; this qualified technician will focus his activity on Fiber Optic Gyroscope system test as calibration and acceptance test. He will ensure the reliability and precision of complex systems and components used in critical Industrial, Defense, and Aerospace applications. His work directly impacts on the quality of the final product and the success of the company's operations in these highly regulated and technical industries.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Testing and Calibration of Systems and Components
The technician is responsible for operating calibration machines to perform accurate tests on inertial measurement systems, electronic boards, and subassemblies. This involves ensuring that all systems meet the required standards of performance and accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Issues
The technician must be able to identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the testing process. This includes investigating and resolving discrepancies in the system's performance or malfunctioning components.
  • Data Recording and Analysis
The technician is responsible for recording test results in a detailed and organized manner. This includes capturing all relevant data during the testing and calibration phases for further analysis and reporting.
  • Creation of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
After completing the testing and calibration processes, the technician is responsible for drafting an Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP). This document attests to the correct functioning of the system and ensures that all requirements have been met for quality and performance. The ATP is critical for validating that the product is ready for delivery or deployment.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Standards
The technician must ensure that all testing and calibration procedures are in line with industry standards and regulations, particularly those related to aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors. This includes ensuring that all equipment used is calibrated and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Collaboration and Reporting
The technician works closely with other departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and production teams, to ensure smooth coordination and the timely completion of tasks. They must provide regular updates on testing progress and report any discrepancies or failures to supervisors.
  • Maintaining Documentation and Records
The technician must keep accurate records of all tests performed, including detailed notes on any adjustments or changes made during the calibration process. These records are essential for traceability and future reference.
  • Safety and Quality Control
The technician is responsible for following all safety protocols and quality control measures during the testing and calibration processes. This includes ensuring that all procedures are carried out without compromising safety or product integrity.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma in technical/electronics
  • Good knowledge in the field of electronics and informatics.
  • Knowledge in the field of laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, power supply).
  • Knowledge with “Microsoft Office”.
  • Able to work autonomously and/or in team.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Attitude to problem solving and to achieve results within time and cost constraints.
  • Knowledge of English in writing and speaking (the knowledge of additional languages is a plus).
